New High-performance and High-Temperature Epoxy Resin
12 August 2022 – The YP-N series resin is a very high-performance and high-temperature epoxy resin. It offers exceedingly high mechanical performance and good wet-out of fibers, and is ideal for use with high-performance reinforcements such as carbon and aramid fiber. The resin is compatible with a wide range of reinforcement materials including glass fiber (typically for mold making) and high-performance fibers such as carbon fiber and aramid (e.g. Kevlar). Due to its low tackiness, prepregs made from YP-N are extremely suitable for the hand layup/hand laminating.
The cured mechanical properties of YP-N are outstanding.
YP-N series high-temperature epoxy resin is ideally suited to the production of high-temperature components and
high-temperature molds for use up to 180°C to 220 °C.
In addition to its high heat deflection temperature (HDT), this epoxy system has good clarity, a low viscosity and exceptional wetting characteristics when used with glass, carbon or aramid fiber.
